Astro*Diary is a brand new online astrology news magazine, aimed primarily (but not exclusively) at astrologers. It also carries links to astrology sites and an Astrologers’ Diary, constantly updated with news of conferences, meetings and other events. Val Dobson first got interested in astrology at the age of seventeen. She discovered that she shared her birthday (March 8th, different year) with a member of a famous (at the time) pop group, and wondered why she wasn’t also famous and talented – after all, didn’t astrology say that people who shared a Zodiac sign were the same? So, being insatiably curious, she started reading up on the subject.
More than four decades later, she is still reading. She hasn’t travelled the world; she hasn’t studied under teachers and gurus; she hasn’t acquired an alphabet soup of academic qualifications. She doesn’t teach or lecture and has never published a book. She has never appeared on TV/radio and has no plans to do so.
She has never had any celebrity clients, has never made a living from astrology and considers that she makes a better web designer than consultant astrologer.
She is presently alive and well(ish) in South-West Scotland, sharing a house with a husband named Brian, a computer named George and several spiders named Aarrrgghh There’s Another Huge Hairy Monster In The Bath. Her personal site and sporadically interesting blog can be found here.
